Demelza family launch fireworks at Tunbridge Wells Christmas event

A Demelza family were the star guests at a magical Christmas event in Tunbridge Wells.

Royal Tunbridge Wells Together held its Joy to the Wells celebration to kick-off Christmas in the town on Thursday 14th November and we were there!

Hundreds of people went along to enjoy a performance by the Rock Choir before following a singalong Santa Parade to the old High Street.

Four-year-old Elodie, who is supported by Demelza, was there along with her parents Evie and James and brother Alfred.

When the parade reached the end of its journey, the family joined guests on the stage and pressed the plunger to set off a firework display over the town.
Evie said: “It was an honour for Elodie to be chosen and it was lovely to come along and enjoy the event.

“It’s been really special to represent Demelza – that means a lot to us as a family.”

Visitors to the event also had the chance to learn about the clinical support Demelza provides to families in their area, and the art sculptures that will take over the town as part of our art trail, Trail with a Tale, coming Summer 2025.
